Nursery

Infants and young children are an important part of the congregation of City Road Chapel. We seek to provide effective ministries which enable these children to experience and participate in the faith community,  to know and develop their Christian faith and to become disciples of Christ.

Babies and toddlers have basic needs for love, security, a safe environment, a desire for  approval and opportunities to develop and express themselves. The programs for young children at City Road Chapel seek to meet these needs in a very intentional way.

When can I expect a nursery to be provided?

Care for young children is provided and paid for through the church budget, and is offered during “churchwide” activities. Such activities include Sunday morning worship, Sunday School, special services and events, Wednesday Night Live, choir practices, small group studies, and meetings of councils, boards and committees.

We have at least one paid staff person for the nursery on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. This provides continuity for your child.

Who takes care of my children?
It is necessary to have volunteers assist the paid staff. The Volunteer Nursery Coordinator is responsible for scheduling the volunteers and overseeing this program.

What if there is an emergency?
When they drop of their child, parents are encouraged to take a pager with them in case they need to be contacted.
